Can you get a print book if it is already available online via Explore?

Answer

While we understand that some prefer print material, UCL Library policy is to purchase an ebook wherever possible, as this is a more effective use of our limited resources and increases accessibility for the majority of our students and staff.

If you are experiencing an issue with the use of ebooks there is a range of support available to help you, and if you would like to find out about the software that is available to help with accessibility, e.g. screen readers, you can contact a UCL Disability Advisor via https://www.ucl.ac.uk/students/askucl. We also have a team within Library Services who may be able to advise at lib-accessibility@ucl.ac.uk, and if there is a technical problem (broken links or browser compatibility, for example), please contact lib-eresource-help@ucl.ac.uk.
