Q. How do I collect a book from the Institute of Education Library?

Answer

The IOE Library can be accessed from the Level 3 (Ground Floor) entrance on 20 Bedford Way. You will need to use your UCL card to enter and must wear a face covering unless exempt. Then once inside, you may use the stairs immediately visible or the lift in Core A (turn left on entering) to reach Level 4. The library entrance is located on Level 4 next to the now closed coffee shop. You will need to scan your card again to enter the library. You may be asked by security colleagues the reason for your visit, you may tell them you are here for a book collection.

This way of entering the building will mean walking up and down at least four steps at the entrance of the building. If you require a more accessible route please let us know and I will contact our line manager to have this arranged.

Once inside the library, a colleague will be able to point you to our collection shelves and self service terminals.
