Q. My books are showing as lost with large fines on them, but I still have them. What should I do?

Owing to your library account expiring, your books could not be renewed and, therefore, our system declared them all as lost. The charges on your account are replacement charges, which will be automatically removed from your account when your items are returned and processed. While we are waiving all overdue fines, we are waiving lost book charges on a case-by-case basis.

If you are a continuing student or member of staff, we can change the status of your book(s) from lost, and renew them. All the charges will then be waived, and you can carry on renewing them until you wish to return them, or you can post them back to us.

If you have finished your course or employment, because your account has expired, we cannot renew your book(s) but please rest assured that when you return your items any fines or charges will be removed, so please do not worry.
