Can I request a digital copy of a book that the library has in print?

Not all books are available in a digital format, particularly those published before the year 2000.

If there is a print copy available we should be able to supply a digital chapter via our Scan & Send Service. This is restricted by copyright to one chapter per book.

You can also fill in a Suggestion Form and we consider purchasing the e-book, if available.

Students who are print disabled are subject to a copyright exception, and UCL has an account with RNIB Bookshare that can be used to provide accessible digital copies of books when suitable formats are not already available.
